Project 339: A cheery balloon boy birthday
I wanted to make a birthday card for a new colleague that was fun but sophisticated. I don't know him that well and so I needed it to be cheerful without being overly personal.
I was intrigued by the CAS-ual Friday tic-tac-toe challenge and so I went for the bottom row: Enamel dots, no patterned papers, glitter:
The background colors are blended using Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers. The balloons are punched using a Stampin' Up punch from Claire. I added some blue twine to make them have some dimension.
Then to complete the tic tac toe and make it more cheerful I added some enamel dots and lots of little gold dots using glitter glue.
All in all I was really pleased with this, I started with no plan and it all came together really quickly. Love it when that happens.

Very cute!! Great job blending your background!
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell?!! This is amazing. I love this SO much, the scattered dots and enamel dots, the blended background is perfect and the balloons work so well. Make tons of these as Male birthday cards :) Cx
