Project 282: A spots and dots challenge at MAWTT
Happy New Year loyal Moving Along With the Times fans!
We have a fun challenge to kick off the new year, featuring spots and dots. Anything spotted or dotted will do: whether using a patterned paper, a stamp, a stencil, embossing or embellishments, this is a really open brief to get your creative juices flowing.
I started with the little strip of white, blending two yellows (squeezed lemonade and mustard seed by Tim Holtz) to get an ombre effect. The orange dots are stamped from the Stampin' Up Endless Birthday Wishes set.
I decided to use a few new little toys that Claire had given me for Black Friday. The tags are cut in white using a die that also embosses (never used one of these before!) and then layered it with a larger die in the set. The greeting is stamped from the same little set, it's a nice one.
The enamel dots are Recollections from Michael's and I was inspired by some of these that I had seen Claire use on a card ages back. They're so shiny and cheerful.
I needed two special thank you cards for my bosses and so I tried an alternative color sheme here.
Hopefully you'll join us and I'm looking foward to seeing all the great entries. Be sure to check out our awesome DT team!

Hi Jessie,
ReplyDeletewhat super cards, and wonderful designs too.
Spots and dots was a good choice.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Wicked cards man, I love the ombre panel with the spots, very cool. Glad that you managed to get your hands on the enamel dots, they are awesome! The new die / stamp set is a total win in my opinion. And in response to your comment, I should use those dies more.. Cx
