Project: Animal fun with MAWTT

Welcome back to another week of Moving Along with the Times! This week we have a cute animal theme - something I know you'll have no problem playing along with.

This week's post could also be titled 'Playing with stamps I stole from Claire' because these are all images I convinced her to let me 'borrow'.  I decided to make all of the cards autumnal and used ProMarkers to color in all three of these stamped images.

The image on the headline is from Newton Nook's and this little wagon has 4 or 5 different stamps you can layer on top. For our animal challenge I wanted to show a little ginger cat lost among orange pumpkins. The background is made using Fire Brick and Squeezed Lemonade distress inks and a blending tool. I love the autumnal shades and the pop of white from the stitched die. And the row of red gems is from the 99p store if you'd believe it!

The feature stamp on this one is also from the same set. I thought this little bird and apple combo would be cute with one of my new stitched circle dies from Claire. I decided to go for two spotted backgrounds, the big circles make it a bit more modern I think. The red apple is glittered with Stickles red glitter and the green card is wrapped with American Crafts colored twine in red and green.

Finally this guy is a case from a card Claire made with this Stampin' Up stamp set. The little animal placards are blank and you just add your greeting. And 'I like your face' is a great sentiment. He's stamped onto a stitched die (Claire also left these behind...yes I'm just stealing her stuff now) and I used a scrap of the same spotted red paper from the headline card with a corner rounder to match the shape. The backing paper was free in a card mag ages ago and the ribbon is from my wedding 5 years ago - yes I still have some left!

I loved the animal challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone else does with it as well.

  2. I am loving all 3 of these cards, especially the first one - the colour combo is awesome and I like that you have bled the darker colour out from the centre. I do feel less love though about my stamps being with you..I am wondering if I am ever going to see them again LOL. Cx
